About the Site
PrivateSchools.com provides information about private elementary,
middle and secondary schools in the United States. It includes
detailed information about paying for private K-12 schools, as well as
guides to choosing a private school.
PrivateSchools.com began as part of the FinAid web site about paying for college. Families seeking scholarships, vouchers and other forms of education financing for private schools would often arrive at FinAid because there were no web sites about paying for private schools. Although FinAid's focus is on paying for college, a section on paying for private schools was added in August 1999 to help these families. In August 2010, FinAid decided to expand this material into a complete site, covering every topic of interest to families of children enrolled in private K-12 schools. PrivateSchools.com was created by Mark Kantrowitz, a noted financial aid and college planning author. In his spare time, Mark folds origami models, repairs antique battery-operated toys, and plays with his cats, Joto and Blue Belle. Policies and Additional Information
